Jeana Clark

Jeana Clark is a U.S. native who spent several study semesters in Germany and Austria while earning a BA in German and International Business Management.

She has been a full-time, freelance German>English translator since founding Clark Translations in April 2003. As an involved member of the American Translators Association (ATA) and the Iowa Interpreters and Translators Association (IITA), she has been serving IITA as the Treasurer since 2008 and was a co-presenter at the 2011 ATA conference in Boston ["
Making the Whole Greater than the Sum of Its Parts: Cooperation in Virtual Translator Work Groups"].

Ms. Clark is dedicated to continuing education as well as fine-tuning her translation skills and professional competencies. She is 
SDL Trados Certified (Studio 2009 Advanced) and is regularly asked to be a guest speaker and presenter for new CAT tool developments in the translation industry and to provide on-site training for companies and institutions.

Aside from translating, her biggest passion is to spread appreciation and enthusiasm for languages and cultures. In keeping with this passion, she is an active volunteer with 
YFU USA (Youth for Understanding), which is one of the oldest, largest, and most respected international exchange programs for high school students.
