Jeana Clark holds a bachelor's degree in German and International Business Management from Central College and also attended the University of Vienna-Institute of Translation/Interpretation while on a Study Abroad program.
She has been a full-time, freelance German>English translator since founding Clark Translations in April 2003. As an involved member of the American Translators Association (ATA) and the Iowa Interpreters and Translators Association (IITA), she is currently serving IITA as the Treasurer and recently attended the 49th annual ATA conference in Orlando, Florida.
She is dedicated to continuing education as well as fine-tuning her translation skills and professional competencies. She has completed several interpreting/translating courses at the Des Moines Area Community College-Urban Campus and became SDL Trados certified in June 2008.
Aside from translating, her biggest passion is to spread appreciation and enthusiasm for languages and cultures. In keeping with this passion, she is an active volunteer with YFU USA (Youth for Understanding), which is one of the oldest, largest, and most respected international exchange programs for high school students.
